I was born in 1969 in a little maternity hospital in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. I don't think I was an ugly baby but
the hospital closed down soon after. My early years were spent in Cam, Dursley, until at the age of four my family
and I moved to Stroud.
I went to Calloway primary school, which was good as it was literally just down the road. I continued my education my education years at Archway Secondary School, thereafter I went to Stroud Technical college. This was short-lived as I applied and got accepted into the Royal Air Force at the tender age of 16.
I joined the RAF as an aerospace systems operator, as I was told this was closely involved with computers. They lied!
I spent six weeks at RAF Swinderby, Lincolnshire doing my basic training before moving onto RAF West Drayton. There
I completed my trade training. My first posting was at sunny RAF Neatishead, Norfolk where I spent just over two years before my next posting.
This was Benbecula, Outer Hebrides, but luckly I didn't need a passport as apparently it is in the UK. I enjoyed my
time at Benbecula enough to extend my 18 month tour to two years. My next posting was the far less windy RAF Ash. Here we helped to train the rest of my trade the new computer-based system which was to replace the old mish-mash system we had before. Ash was enjoyable, if only because it was so close to the seaside.
From Ash I moved to RAF Neatishead for my second tour in Norfolk. During this tour I soon got promoted to the dizzy
heights of Corporal. Also, during this time I bought my first house. It was a small two bedroom terrace house in
the Norwich suburb of Old Catton, but it was home. After seven years at Neatishead, I got moved onto RAF High Wycombe. I was overjoyed with this post as; at last, it truly involved computers. It was at High Wycombe where I meet my beautiful wife, while she was working as an au-pair for a family from camp. We soon got engaged and a year later we got married at the local registry office. The next year we had our main wedding out in Szolnok, Hungary, which was a wonderfully grand affair. Now, I have just completed a Certified Internet Webmaster course, which has led me to join the Web team at work (or so I thought!), which had always been my aim.
However, due to promotion to Sergeant, I never worked on the Web team - which was a shame. I moved tp RAF Halton working on documents related to TG12.
In June 2006 Samuel was born much to our delight, and in the October we moved down to Cornwall where we are today.
